Sensor Control Module SCM 7800
Equipped with customized embedded software,
the SCM 7800 Sensor Control Module (SCM) performs
the job of collecting the measurement data from the sensor I/O
cards/ports (like Erallos eSpider 6400 or the eAnalog 3200
interface cards). The SCM 7800 also performs the job of controlling
the sensors. The SCM has the capability for channel specific signal
processing and includes a DSP processor to filter the raw sensor
signals and perform limited feature extraction. It performs time
stamp synchronization on the data from each sensor with a world
clock -- so when an event occurs, the exact time is identified.
The customized software embedded on the SCM
is capable of running on a number of different microprocessors,
depending on the best fit for the application.
